Nirali's Dark Chocolate and Meringue Blondies
Nirali: "Growing up, my grandmother, like many grandmothers, always had butterscotch candies in her pocket."
VoiceOver: "Nirali's family-inspired cookie bar has a pistachio and orange shortbread base topped with a dark chocolate blondie layer. It'll be decorated with meringue, candied orange peel, and pistachios."
Nirali: "My mom makes this amazing pistachio ice cream, and so I kind of just wanted to honor all those folks in what I'm baking today."
Paul Hollywood: "It's so big."
Prue Leith, lifting only the top half (blondie) into the air: "I think that's quite a good cookie bar as it is."
Paul Hollywood: "So you have a shortbread, which essentially is quite crumbly and dry. And then you have the top one, which is the blondie, which, again, is quite dry."
Prue Leith: "But I love the chocolate orange combo. I think the flavours are lovely."
