Arthur: "For a cake that I'm proud of, I made a fresh strawberry and whipped cream birthday cake with a lemon sponge. And then in the middle, it's packed with a ton of fresh strawberries and toasted almonds on the side."
"So the naked eye doesn't look that bad. But I know that the amount of strawberries inside is going to be a bit of a tough one because they're quite sort of big and bulky."
"This is effectively like strawberries and cream with two pieces of pound cake over it. It's just too simple for me."
"Yeah. I think this cake is clunky, and what's in front of me is a cake that has a slightly dry pound cake to it. And the strawberries you're asking to marinate them when you have them that big and an abbreviated time limit, you're not gonna get that maceration that you want for those strawberries. But I think the lemon is a saving grace here."
