Christiaan: "So I'm doing a Danish pastry topped with saffron roasted rhubarb. I love sweet things, but I love experimenting with other flavors and kind of like seeing how far you can take it. And I think growing up gay, you know, made me look for other things that were also different. But I do think it opens up your mind more. And it's just a lot of fun as well, isn't it?"


Christiaan: "I just really like the saffron with the rhubarb. The rhubarb is quite, like, sharp and punchy. I thought that would be a nice combination."



Christiaan: "Here we've got the saffron and rhubarb Danish pastry."


Paul Hollywood: "Wow. That's a punchy rhubarb, that one. Very tart."


Prue Leith: "It's really tart. And rhubarb, which is lovely."


Paul Hollywood: "That's very you. Strong out the box flavors, and it's worked."
