Job: Advertising exec (on maternity leave)
Holly is a client services director, currently on maternity leave after the birth of her second son. She loves cooking and owns over 92 cookbooks. She worries that her husband will find her unsexy because she loves reading recipes in bed! He’s even had to build her extra shelves in their kitchen for her books.
Holly has to be in a good mood to bake as she believes, “cakes do not respond well to angry hands” and she says she can taste the difference because baking requires a light touch. Holly believes in recipes that use ingredients that you already have in your cupboard. She thinks that baking isn’t hard but that it’s like a science, “if you get all the components right you’ll get the right results”. She is a confident all-round baker but thinks sugar craft and anything with intricate detail could be a struggle.
Holly ended as joint Runner-up in Series 2 of The Great British Bake Off ™.
