Apple and fennel soup with clams, corn and chorizo relish.

Team: "We made a puréed soup of fennel, apple, potato, and then there's a relish of corn, apple, tomato, rendered chorizo fat, and some chive oil." 

Judges: "What about the clams?" 

Team: "Clams are in the relish as well."

Judges: "Yellow team. I thought the purée was just absolutely beautiful. Lot of flavor. The texture of the soup was perfect, and it contrasted so beautifully with that gorgeous relish that had so much dimension."
