Jen turned to her annual Thanksgiving favourite, the Atlantic beach pie, and rebuilt it as a layered dessert.
{Jennifer}: "The Atlantic beach pie is a salty cracker crumb, whipped cream, and lemon and lime custard." Her version stacked Meyer lemon curd, yuzu jelly, and a double-crunch of saltines plus graham crackers studded with pretzels.
{Jennifer}: "I have Atlantic beach pie every Thanksgiving. I’m going to do a layered dessert of salty crackers, the lemon curd and yuzu jelly." Jen mentioned channelling her grandmothers and growing up in Stum, Georgia where her father owned the only town grocery.
{Judge}: "Citrusy yuzu."
{Judge}: "Jen’s is like a flavor bomb."
