Autumn Tree Stump Cake
A delicately spiced pumpkin and carrot cake stacked and coated in fondant to form an autumnal tree stump. Georgie: "It's a carrot and pumpkin cake. Gonna go easy on the spices. I have taken. Well, I did well in the parkin after listening to you. The spices are okay. I really toned it down." The cake is made with four layers. Georgie: "The cakes need a lot of time to cool, but there's a lot of decorations to be done as well. So I need the time." The cream cheese frosting contains stem ginger and a little bit of cinnamon.
Paul Hollywood: "I think the cake looks amazing. Very professional. Could be sitting in front of any bakery window." Paul Hollywood: "The pumpkin is probably released quite a bit of juice from that." Prue Leith: "It's a little damp." Paul Hollywood: "Flavor wise. Spot on. A really good cake."
