Which Show?
Who made this dish?

Matt Peters (observed during cook): "I know what Philip's capable of. He's disciplined, he's very structured. But also we come from the same cut of clothes."

Buddha Lo (observing): "Watching Matt and Philip is amazing. It is master and student coming together."

Kim Alter (observing): "Look at their stations. They're so clean. The immaculate stations." Malyna Si (observing): "It's like they haven't even started."

To judges: "Beef stroganoff. I knew you were going to have a nice fancy Bocuse d'Or plate next to it. So I was like, you know what? I'm gonna go more the way I grew up with it. Made the fresh pasta and did a roasted mushroom, made that with the sauce, and then took that base as the filling for the pasta. And then I took the most tender cut of the ribeye almost in its simplest form."

Matt Peters (post-win): "I'm relieved and happy that I actually did beat him. There's a million dollars on the line."

Padma Lakshmi: "Matt, I loved your mushroom sauce. It was creamy and unctuous. It took me way back, way back."

Wiley Dufresne: "I'm going to put one of these agnolotti in my pocket for later. It's simple in its presentation, but there's a lot of complexity and richness."

Michael Cimarusti: "In the sauce, flavor in the sauce. Hard to find fault with it. I probably need four or five hours to make this — so well done."

Verdict: Padma Lakshmi cast the deciding vote for Matt Peters. Matt Peters advanced; Philip Tessier was eliminated.
