Bengali Lamb Curry with Shatkora

Fateha describes: 'I'm cooking with lamb. It's something that I use a lot at home. I'm doing a lamb curry with shatkora. This is a Bengali fruit. It's like a big lemon. It gives a different smell to a lamb curry.' She serves it with 'three lentil dal, pilau rice, some rice flour rotis and a tomato salad.' Fateha explains her motivation: 'I would like to show traditional Bengali food and I, I sometimes I feel as if is a bit underrated. I want my children to understand my heritage and my childhood.' She expresses disappointment: 'I don't normally burn like my curries. I just wanted to give it my best shot and things just went wrong for me.'

Gregg: 'I'm impressed by the amount of work. Your lamb is really tender, so well done. But you've allowed the rice, the lentils and your curry to catch on the bottom and it's unfortunately masking all your other wonderful flavors.' John: 'The spicing of the lamb's great. The lamb's still quite moist, which is good. Like the shatkora. That's nice and sharp. Your breads, I think, are fantastic, but I think you've given yourself too much work to do.'
