Which Show?
Who made this dish?
Tom made tear-and-share cheesy garlic Chelsea buns, sprinkling his favorite sharp cheddar, Black Bomber, over a garlic butter base before rolling, and finishing them with a garlic butter and herb glaze.
He learned Chelsea buns in his GCSE food tech class. Tom: "I love garlic bread. It's probably one of my favorite types of bread."
Tom: "So I'm making you the ultimate cheesy garlic bread Chelsea buns."
Paul: "What cheese are you using?" Tom: "I'm using Black Bomber. Have you ever tried it?"
Nigella: "I have indeed."
Tom: "It's so good in there."
Nigella: "Do you make these a lot?"
Tom: "To be honest, no. But back in GCSE food tech, Mrs. Burton taught us how to make Chelsea buns, and I were like, wow, I can make it so well. So I thought, bring that back."
Tom: "This is a very strong cheddar cheese."
Tom: "I'm gonna scrub my filling on. Sprinkle my cheese on."
Tom: "Just glazing it with my nice little garlic butter mix. Get some extra herbage on there."
Tom: "They look good."
Tom (after judging): "Perfect. Take that on board. Thank you."
Nigella: "I'm very taken with the look of those. Those golden bits are very appetizing."
Paul: "Yeah, they don't look too bad, actually."
Nigella: "The flavor is lovely. The butter you've put on the top gives it a slight hint of fried bread, which is always a good thing."
Paul: "I love that cheese. And the garlic level is about right. But what you should have done was roll it out much thinner and bigger. So as you roll it up, you get more circles going in. It intensifies the flavor, and it would have been beautiful. But I think you've got a great flavor and texture in there."
Paul (later): Named Tom among the bakers "in the top end" so far.
