Black Forest Gateau Chocolate Brownie

Hope explains: 'My basic ingredient is chocolate. I have such sweet tooth, I would eat dessert for breakfast and dessert for lunch. So we always have chocolate in the house.' She describes her dish: 'One of my husband's favorite desserts is a black forest gateau cake. So I'm planning doing a black forest gateau chocolate brownie.' When asked if there would be enough, Hope assures: 'There'll be plenty to go around, Greg, don't you worry about it.' Hope made the serving plates herself. After receiving emotional feedback, she reflects: 'To be told that I am good at cooking, it's a very emotional moment to comprehend.' John and Gregg selected Hope as one of their two favorite cooks, awarding her a MasterChef apron.
John: 'I think your brownie is cooked really well, I like the crust on the outside and nice and gooey on the inside. The sharpness coming from the blackberry across the top. The gel is good. It's not too sweet. There are some great skills on show here.' Gregg: 'The nuts through the cream give it almost a toastiness. I like that very much like your cracker. It's kind of almost oily, but sweet. I really like that. So well done.' Gregg: 'The second cook showed us real technical ability and knowledge. Hope, congratulations.'
