Black Sesame Tea Cake with Black Sesame Ice Cream, Asian Pear & Calamansi Jam Beverly's 'good' dessert.

Voted most likely to win, she felt the pressure throughout the cook. Beverly: "For my good dessert, I had to be opposite of the evil dessert. I've never actually baked this cake fresh. I'm going to make a black sesame tea cake. It's so warm — it kind of gives you the same satisfaction of, like, a warm brownie, but with black sesame."

On presentation: "The good is the black sesame tea cake with the black sesame ice cream, Asian pear, and calamansi jam, and fresh Asian pear. Black sesame is supposed to be really good for you as opposed to potato chips — so that's a good thing."

Nina Métayer (guest): "I love these fluffy biscuits. It's amazing."

Wylie Dufresne: "Maybe one of the best cakes we've had today. But as much as I love Asian pear, I am not a fan of the skin of an Asian pear."

Padma Lakshmi: "I understand what Wylie's saying — much as I hate to admit it — but I think every element was so necessary on this plate." Beverly finished first overall with 155 points (out of a possible 105 — Padma's wording on the scoreboard reveal).
