Boozy Black Forest Traybake

Ruby's ideas in the kitchen have usually been inspired by her mom, Calvinda. Ruby made her Black Forest gateau for her family last Christmas. It has a dark chocolate ganache and white chocolate drizzle on top of a moist chocolate sponge. Ruby: "I'm a bit worried because it's quite a tender chocolate sponge." Ruby: "The key thing for me is to make sure that it's chilled, otherwise it could turn into a sloppy mess."
Paul: "Well, the decoration is absolutely excellent. Everything is very neat. You pipe very well. It's not too thick. Impressive." Prue: "I think they look amazing. Good interior." Paul: "Nice and boozy." Prue: "What I like about it looks incredible. But when you get inside and you do hit that cherry and the kirsch sits there and then the topping, it's just a really nice cake. I could sit and eat the whole one." Ruby cried tears of happiness at the positive feedback.
