Who made this dish?
An accessibility reviewer who volunteers at a local theater in London, Molly lives with husband Ash and sausage dog Lando. Her cream cheese icing is spiced with cardamom and vanilla, the same flavors as a tier of her wedding cake, and the recipe is based on a Nigella recipe she made for her food tech GCSE. Her bundt sponge fell out of the oven, so with 60 minutes left she restarted as a sandwich cake. {Molly}: "The cream cheese icing I've actually spiced with the same flavors that we had in one of the tiers of our wedding cake. It's got cardamom and vanilla in it." {Molly}: "I'm basing it off a Nigella recipe I did for my food tech GCSE. I got an A star. So hopefully I'll get the equivalent in here." {Molly}: "It fell out the oven, Alison. I went to push it back in and I think it got caught on something and I only had one glove on. I should have put both gloves on." {Molly}: "Rather than the bundt tin I was using, I'm doing a sandwich cake instead. The cakes should bake quicker, cool quicker." {Molly}: "You've got two choices, haven't you? Give up or not. I'm not giving up." {Molly}: "I think they are literally just baked. But if I pipe it now, it'll just turn into a gloopy mess." {Molly}: "The circumstances couldn't have gone much better. So, yeah, perseverance and not giving up, it pays off."
{Nigella Lawson}: "You got a cake out." {Molly}: "Which is nothing short of a miracle." {Nigella Lawson}: "The flavor is lovely." {Paul Hollywood}: "Cardamom level is spot on." {Nigella Lawson}: "There is something a bit savage about the cardamom, which works well with it." {Paul Hollywood}: "The bake's good. Texture's good. It proves the point. Never give up. Well done, Molly."
