Who made this dish?
[Signature challenge: the ultimate garlic bread. Any style, but it must be made with a yeasted dough and taste fabulously garlicky. Three hours. Paul and Nigella asked for garlic to be the star, with any extra flavors complementing it rather than overpowering it.] Gary made tear-and-share Chelsea buns filled with mature cheddar and a garlic herb butter, using about four bulbs of garlic. Noel pointed out that Gary had chosen a nearly identical flavor and bread to Tom. Gary: "I'm doing Chelsea buns, cheese and garlic." Gary: "The family loved it. They thought, oh, God, that's fantastic." Gary: "Well, my middle name's Paul. It is. Gary Paul. My dad's name were Paul." Alison: "No Hollywoods in the family?" Gary: "No, no, no. Not yet." Gary: "So about four garlic bulbs going in total." Gary: "Yeah, they'll do second prove, then." Gary: "You press your finger in and it just slowly finds its way back. That's what I'm looking for." (testing the prove) Gary: "You've got to be careful. Last thing I want to do is overbake it." Gary: "That's it."
Paul: "As the Chelsea bun goes, they look okay, right?" Gary: "Okay." Paul: "If you'd glazed that with egg, it would have adopted a little bit more color." Nigella: "I'd have liked a bit more chew to it." Paul: "It's more of a break on the bite rather than a chew." Nigella: "I'm not tasting much garlic." Paul: "Yeah. You could have done with more garlic in that, and cheese. You need much more flavor."
