Who made this dish?
[Gluten free laminated pastries shaped as ladybirds, packed with a cheeseburger filling of beef, onion, dill pickles and cheddar, finished with red and black detailing.]
Gabe: "It's going to be like these gorgeous little ladybirds filled with like a cheeseburger filling. Cuz I'm like, what would little me want in a nice little pastry? It's probably a cheeseburger."
Gabe (on xanthan gum): "I don't really know what it is. It's just something that comes in a packet and that is supposed to help give the pastry structure."
Gabe: "It was a round cutter, and I mashed it up to make a little ladybird shaped cutter."
Gabe: "So much oil."
{Gabe}: "So my gluten free pastries are little hamburger ladybirds."
Gabe: "I think that's a decent job. I don't think I was the best to get a handshake, but I certainly wasn't the worst."
Paul Hollywood: "I like the color. You probably could have done smaller dots to make it look a little bit more like a ladybird."
Nigella Lawson: "Children like things that look a bit ghoulish as well. So they're not cute ladybirds, they're slightly ghoulish."
{Judge}: "Oh, they smell great."
Paul Hollywood: "They're well filled."
Nigella Lawson: "You're going to be wearing red and black lipstick now."
Paul Hollywood: "Love the filling, but the pastry's just a little bit too thin."
Nigella Lawson: "The pastry underneath, when it's got the meat and onion and pickle juices in, actually has a more pastry-ish feel than the top."
Paul Hollywood: "It's a decent job though, Gabe. I'll be honest, it tastes good. Well done."
