Chicken Mango Curry with Green Tea Cilantro Rice, Jalapeno Salsa & Crispy Chicken Skin


Gordon Ramsay: "Murt, how do you explain the idea with the green tea and the rice?" 


Murt: "Us Gen-Zers, we use TikTok a lot, so I saw something where they used green tea in Japan with rice."

Murt: "So I made a chicken mango curry with a green tea, cilantro, rice, a jalapeno salsa, and crispy chicken skin. I remember growing up and picking mangoes and mango trees in Brazil. I wanted to try to, you know, make mango the star of the dish."

"Murt, I got excited when I heard you're doing a curry, but it's sort of drowned. A curry should be coated in the gravy, not swimming in it. You know, this doesn't look like it comes from TikTok. It looks like it comes from early eighties cooking channel."


"So traditionally, mango is served as an accompaniment as a chutney, but we're swimming around to identify what's in there. Is that a piece of mango? Is it a piece of chicken?"


"I understand that the chicken is cooked correctly, and it is delicious. I actually like the green tea and the rice. It just needs more seasoning."


"Murt, it was so sweet. You can't even distinguish any of the spices. It's just heat. Lots of cumin and mango. That's it. It literally tastes like spicy baby food. Okay, this is exactly what we're not looking for."
