A chocolate and almond truffle tort built on a ground almond base boosted with amaretti biscuits and plenty of almond liqueur.
Sarah-Jane is a stay-at-home mum who calls this the bravest thing she has done; she lifts the ring from the tin straight out of the oven to stop it collapsing.
{Sarah-Jane}: "These amaretti biscuits are mine and my husband's dream pudding ingredient. This is probably outrageous - it's the bravest thing I've ever done. But before this, getting here on the train by myself was the bravest thing I'd ever done."
{Sarah-Jane}: "Apparently, if you take the ring off as soon as it comes out of the oven, there's less chance it will completely implode on itself."
{Mary}: "I love the finish you've got on it. The actual chocolate mixture is a little bit dry."
{Paul}: "The alcohol in there is too much. It can overwhelm absolutely everything. It's become almost black forest."
{Mary}: "But the whole finish looks lovely."
