Which Show?
Who made this dish?
[Gluten free book folded pastry circles, baked before filling, stacked with chocolate orange ganache to form caterpillars and finished with fondant detailing.]
Gary: "Right. So I've done two book folds now. I think I'll probably stick with that. I was going to go three, but I don't think the pastry will allow me."
Gary: "If I try and roll it too thin, it'll break." Gary: "I've done it 11 times, so when I started it were a disaster. I thought, I'm not going to be able to do this. I did cry. I did cry. I got to my 11th one. It came out all right. And hopefully I'll get lamination."
Gary: "Right. So thickness of two coins, going to be 20 circles, and then you're going to have chocolate ganache in between."
Gary: "Ganache. I'm just getting it started." Gary: "There's some movement there."
Gary: "It's not quite as good as what I wanted. I wanted more lamination."
Gary: "Just thinking whether to put something to keep them upright."
Gary: "Trying to get the children's party vibe."
Gary: "It screams kids' parties. They'll look at that and it'd put a smile on their face, wouldn't it?"
Gary: "The most important thing really were lamination. You weren't happy with that. So, yeah. Not too happy, really."
{Judge}: "Just makes you so happy looking at this, doesn't it?"
Paul Hollywood: "Flavor wise, really nice. It's chocolate orange. Where can you go wrong? Pastry wise is where you went wrong. You haven't folded it enough. Therefore it almost ends up like a pie crust."
Nigella Lawson: "So it does make it slightly dry and tough. But the flavor is great. It's a beautiful creation as well. It's just a difficult pastry to work with. From sideways, they don't look too compacted and biscuity. So, you know, the proof of the pudding and all that."
