Jon's Chocolate Pistachio Bars


Jon: "I'm making roast pistachio bars. I made them for a pig roast we did in the park years ago, and my friends said it was their favorite dessert of all the bunch."


Voice Over: "John's cookie bars will have a shortbread base topped with a pistachio cream filling, a layer of dark chocolate ganache decorated with pistachios."

Prue Leith, tasting the cookie bar: "Chocolate is quite rich, thick ganache." 


Jon: "It's very warm, so it's almost like it didn't set up the same here."


Paul Hollywood: "No, exactly. It's a bit like eating chocolate sauce."


Prue Leith: "The pistachio is the hero in this cookie bar and you've allowed it to come through. So I think you've done a good job."
