Who made this dish?
An administrator at an HGV service center, Danni lives in Dorset with her parents, older sister and three cocker spaniels, and is a keen forager. Inspired by her dad's fondness for a port with his pint, she added port to her chocolate ganache and topped the cake with cream cheese icing. She baked at a higher temperature for less time and assembled while the sponges were still hot, and the cake cracked and stuck to itself. {Danni}: "So what I've decided to do is a stout and port cake. Indeedaroonie." {Danni}: "It's going in for 45 minutes and turn the oven up to 180 degrees Celsius." {Danni}: "I'm actually feeling all right. They're in the oven. I'm a bit bored, really, actually. Give me a bit more to do." {Danni}: "My ganache. A little bit of port, cheeky bit of port. Yummy." {Danni}: "It's cool enough. Just putting a little bit of ganache on my sponges. A little bit too much warmth, I think. Just a little bit of cracking here." {Danni}: "My cake is stuck to itself." {Danni}: "I was bored. I manifested this." {Danni}: "Didn't go quite to plan. They were actually incredibly nice about it. Onwards and upwards."
{Nigella Lawson}: "She's had a bit of first aid." {Danni}: "She has indeed. When I was carving her, she was still hot." {Paul Hollywood}: "Why did you do it when it was hot?" {Danni}: "I just felt pressured for time." {Paul Hollywood}: "You were the one telling me, I'm bored." {Paul Hollywood}: "Right. It's still a little bit raw. It needed longer. How long did you bake it for?" Danni answered 45 minutes at 180. {Nigella Lawson}: "No, a wet batter really needs long and slow." {Paul Hollywood}: "Just be careful of your baking and be careful what you wish for."
