Dan's "Pearfully Does It" Cake
In Spice Week (Season 6, Episode 5 of The Great British Baking Show ™), as the Signature Dish, Dan was asked to make a ginger cake. His four tier ginger cake hit some problems and so he was determined to prove his skills with this four tier pear cake.
This is a spiced pear sponge, filled with spiced pear and beurre noisette. An intricate pear collar and pear-shaped macarons will adorn his four-tier showstopper.
