Karis' Elevated Canadian Butter Tart


Voice Over: "Karis' cookie bars will have a shortbread base with a filling of walnuts, raisins, butter, and maple syrup, all decorated with candied walnuts and gold leaf."


Karis: "So my dad's side of the family, they're all Canadian, and I grew up going there most summers, and so my cousin and I would have this tradition to find all the best butter tarts around. So on the top, you're gonna have some whole walnuts here with some edible gold leaf."

Paul Hollywood: "Good size. I like the caramel work as well. It's not too dry, but you've got enough moisture in the layer with it. With the walnuts in, it's delicious, and I think the fruit makes a big difference."


Prue Leith: "I agree with you. Those raisins in there they're genius."


Paul Hollywood: "I think, overall, yeah ... " (reaches out with a Hollywood Handshake).
