Will (during cooking) "The sponge is done, but my Italian meringue split for reasons I don't understand, so I'm going to make it again. But Italian meringue buttercream takes half an hour, so it's slightly worrying."
Judging
Paul Hollywood: "It's a bit messy."
Paul Hollywood (tasting) "And I think it's a bit disappointing"
Prue Leith: "It's a bit bland. There's ginger, but not enough. There's a caramel undertone, but it's got no hero in there, which is what you need."
Paul Hollywood: "Besides that. Brilliant."
