Voice-over: "Judges, this was a honey and chipotle glazed pork, two cheese quesadilla, and a lettuce and pea salad with mint and cilantro, persimmon, and citrus."


We learned during cooking that Alex heated the honey, de-glazed the pan with red wine vinegar and then added some Dijon mustard to thicken the glaze.



" I mean, this is a really fun dish. You know, it's kind of crazy. I feel like being at a bar having, you know, a great plate,"


"The cook on the pork is a little bit uneven, but, you know, I actually like the way it's sliced here. I really like the textures in this dish."


"It's almost like everything on this plate is a little too much. Too much sweetness in the glaze, too much crisp on the quesadilla, too many peas in the pea salad. But it's so wrong that it's right. There's something about it that's just delicious and really fun to eat."


"I love, you know, the lettuce cup. I disagree that it has too many peas. Nothing ever can have too many peas."


"I love the combination between the pea salad and the pork. This is my favorite part of it, the waffle quesadilla. It's a classic bite itself. I'm not sure if it really belongs into this dish, though."
