Jamaican Brown Chicken Savoury Buns
Ilyin has taken a leaf out of mum's recipe book.
Illyin: "I am making a Jamaican coconut bun. My mum used to make this for us. It's like an enriched dough made with coconut milk. It's not exactly good for the waistline, but great for joy."
Voice-over: "Ilyin's cocoa buns will be filled with Jamaican brown stewed chicken and topped with spiced, crispy chicken skin."
Prue Leith: "I'm a bit nervous of this because when I saw your pan, it seemed to have a huge amount of chili in it."
Paul Hollywood: "It's got a lovely flavor though. The spice level's perfect. The chicken's good. The heat's not too strong so it's nice."
Prue Leith: "It's perfect."
Paul Hollywood: "I like the crispy chicken skin as well. Cuz it's got a lovely blend of textures that adds to the bread. Yeah. Nice. Like them."
