Vanilla biscuits cut in a leopard shape and finished with hand-painted leopard-print spots, themed playfully as mutant leopards "from the island of Doctor Moreau."
Clara: "I am making leopard print biscuits." It was her first time preparing vanilla pods: Clara: "I have realised I have never scraped vanilla pods." She wrestled with the dough texture, then got it right: "Now that this is a cream, I do not even care what it tastes like when it comes out the oven. At least it is the right texture." She worried they were thick and brittle: "They are just going to be well fed leopards."
On looks the judges were positive: "They definitely look like a leopard. I like the colour of the bake. I like the look of them."
On taste the verdict was harsh. Prue: "Darling, this is not a good biscuit."
{Judge}: "You needed more vanilla in there because you are hanging on for a flavour, and it has just got no real flavour. Like the shape, like the look of them. I just think you lacked a little bit of flavour."
Clara: "Lacking in flavour is something I have never been told. But we move on."
