Mo: "I picked saffron and cardamom. I don't even know why I picked blueberries. I might just snack on them."
Mo: "I'm just infusing the milk with some saffron."
Mo: "I feel like white chocolate is a very safe thing that goes with everything."
Mo (asked what sort of recipe this is to him): "A war recipe."
[Technical challenge set by Nigella, judged blind. Brief: enhance a classic bread and butter pudding with ingredients from the gingham pantry, without overwhelming it. Judges want a crisp golden top, smooth custard with a wobble, bread soaked rather than dry, and complementary additions.]
Paul: "Moving on. White chocolate and saffron."
Nigella: "Lovely and golden."
Paul: "It looks quite dry." Nigella: "It does."
Paul: "I think the saffron is breaking down that bread and butter flavor for me."
Nigella: "I rather like the flavor. I thought the white chocolate would take over, and it doesn't."
