Shakira's Chicken Curry with Mixed-Spice Infused Brown Rice, Mint Chutney and Yogurt 

Narrator: "Reality star Shakira's signature dish: her dad's chicken curry with a mixed-spice infused brown rice, served with mint chutney and a yogurt." 

Shakira: "One thing about Asian food, it's a lot of onion." 

Shakira: "Papa Khan told me if I wash them under the water, I won't cry. Test the theory, won't we?" 

Shakira: "I've got Pakistani and Afghani heritage, and I'm also half English. My cooking style is definitely a fusion of both cultures, but I eat out a lot, so my cooking skills are a bit rusty. I have been practicing with my dad. This is authentic chicken curry with brown rice." 

Shakira: "This is my dad's signature dish. This dish is home. I've had it with toast when I was a baby. That is a fusion dish right there." 

Shakira: "He cooks it. I tried to get his recipe from him, and he says, 'Oh, I don't know, I just do it.' So thanks, Papa." 

Shakira: "It's not a normal rice dish. It's going to be infused with mixed spices. You've got, like, cardamom in there, bay leaf, fennel." 

Shakira: "Once. But I've seen him cook it a million times. I'm going to do the best that I can, and I hope that I make him proud." 

Shakira: "Just put my chicken in and going to put my potatoes in." 

Shakira: "Needs a bit more water." Shakira: "That rice doesn't look like how I imagined it to be. Right, time to fluff up." 

Shakira: "What's done is done." 

Shakira: "You know, I actually thought I undercooked it." 

Shakira: "Normally when I make rice, it's packets from the supermarket, whack it in the microwave, Bob's your uncle. So that rice is actually diabolical." 

Shakira: "Oh, I think my dad's gonna have palpitations watching that back."
