Who made this dish?
Part of Clara's dessert trolley, which she introduced as: "All aboard the Sugar Rush Express." [Narration describes the macarons as filled with chocolate buttercream and hazelnut praline; Clara presents them as pistachio macaron sandwiches.] Clara: "I love making macarons. I love eating them, but I like making them more. But I need to wait for them to dry." Clara: "The macarons have dried out. They have the little shell." Clara: "Was it dry enough? No. I'm overthinking. Everything is testing me." Clara: "The hazelnut praline, it's a bit grainy. Why is it grainy?" Clara: "...pistachio macaron sandwiches."
[Showstopper: a retro dessert trolley of at least three individually portioned desserts, eight of each, with at least one baked element. 4 hours 30 minutes.] Nigella: "The pistachios are very sweet, and a meringue is always very sweet." Paul: "Macaron, I would like to see more of a smarter macaron, more of a foot, which shows me you've dried it out before you put it in the oven. The praline comes through, but it's really grainy." Nigella (trolley overall): "Everything comes across as overwhelmingly sweet. Just needs a bit more balance."
