Dan created pistachio financiers delicately flavored with matcha green tea powder, pink peppercorn, decorated with yuzu gel and tonka bean mousse. This was his gamble to try to get Paul Hollywood to admit he likes matcha.
Paul Hollywood noted they looked 'beautiful' and 'very neat,' praising the finesse. He commented that the matcha 'hits right at the end,' the 'tonka beans there,' and he liked 'the choice of fruit' as well. Prue Leith called it 'delicious. All of it's delicious.'
