Poof: Fried Pizza Puff with Basil and Ricotta
Oscar during prep: 'Pizza in Chicago, that's a thing you get, like, at the corner store called the Pizza Puff. I'll use this puff pastry. There's gonna be some colour in it for Christmas. I don't know. It's a lot.'
During cooking he noted the struggle: 'I drop it in the fryer, and the puff pastry starts leaching out. I'm trying to, like, pat some of the oil off it, but it's just, like, soaking it up. The wheels are coming off.'
At presentation: 'Okay, I'm calling this chill little dish Poof. Past the pizza puff. It has some basil. It has ricotta cheese.'
Kid judge Wolfe named it a least favourite: 'I don't know how to describe it, but it was just, yuck.' Kristen: 'I think Oscar's dish was very greasy. I think it really soaked in a lot of that oil, which was the unpleasant [element].'
