Rhubarb and Orange Trifle
Robert created a spring-themed rhubarb and orange trifle, expressing surprise that his baking was actually working during the challenge. His trifle featured the classic combination of tart rhubarb with sweet orange flavors, though he acknowledged the orange elements were quite overpowering in the final result.
Paul Hollywood found the custard layer rather thick. Mary Berry noted that the orange liqueur completely overpowered the rhubarb flavor, which takes some doing, and suggested a thinner layer of cake underneath.
