Sausage and Gooseberry Savory Weave

Lesley: 'It's this Paul Hollywood inspired sausage plat because I made it for my dad once. Yeah, he loved it, but I thought, I can't do exactly the same one. So I'll put a gooseberry compote in the middle of the sausage meat.' Lesley: 'He don't do that.' Lesley: 'Well, it is sort of it. So I pimped it up a little. We've got sausage, meat with dried cranberries in.' Lesley: 'So the gbies of my garden, I picked them yesterday morning.' Lesley: 'The cranberries you mixed in with the sausage meat. Then you've got the gberry compart, a layer of onions and then the mushrooms at the bottom.'
Paul: 'I love the look of this. Gorgeous color. Good structure to it as well. I really enjoy that. The interior is lovely. You do get everything in there. It be nice if the pastry is a little bit thicker to give you more fake. That's my only gripe.' Prue: 'Leslie. That gooseberry layer is a little bit of genius because it just lifts the whole thing. It's a enhanced family pie.'
