Who made this dish?

A cocoa and almond shortcrust shell forms the canvas for layers of fresh cherries and vanilla almond creme patissiere, topped with hand painted cardamom shortbread shapes recreating the swirling night sky of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night.

Scott: "My baked tart is called Scott's Van Dough. It is inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night."

Prue: "You're doing his Starry Night with all swirly things." Scott: "I am going to try to recreate that in short crust on the top."

Prue: "If you can get Van Gogh's swirly night sky, I'll be amazed."

Scott: "I'm trying."

Paul: "You're baking a creme pat? Is it a bit too thick?"

Scott: "It's actually really nice and smooth."

Prue: "Well, very interesting. I have never heard of baking creme pat."

Scott (painting the design): "Painting is happening now. I feel a little bit like Bob Ross right now."

Scott (after the bake): "Please enjoy my scrambled eggs." Scott was eliminated from the competition this week. No Hollywood Handshake was awarded for this dish.

Prue: "The decoration, I think, looks very nice." Prue: "Well, it's definitely recognizable." Prue: "Did you say you made a creme pat?" Scott: "I did, yeah." Prue: "It looks a little gluey." Paul: "Flavor wise is fantastic. But a custard tart is all about being thin and just about set. What you've done essentially was set it before it was baked. But I love the flavor." Prue: "Yeah. When you get a bit from the top, it's perfect and it's a lovely flavor."
