Who made this dish?

Ashleigh describes: 'It's slow cooked pork belly in a Szechuan sauce with salt and vinegar crackling and pickled cucumber.' She explains the dish's origin: 'It's actually a version of one of our wedding canapes that we do at work, and I've tried to finesse it a little bit.' During preparation, she fries Asian flavored pork belly. Ashleigh is 'head chef at a Cotswolds pub' and 'knows she's got what it takes to be a force to be reckoned with this week,' stating: 'Hopefully being used to different environments, high stress situations, having to think on your feet will push me that little edge that I need to get through.' About the broad brief, she notes: 'Such a broad brief, it'll be interesting if anyone had the same idea.' When discussing the potential veteran, she responds 'It'd be exciting' at the possibility of Simon Rogan and hopes 'you got that right' about Michael Caines.

Michael Caines ranked Ashleigh second: 'The flavors were incredible. Perhaps I could have done a little bit more cooking on that pork.' Nicholas: 'It looks great. Just want to eat it.' Joe: 'So everything I want about pork belly.'
