Smashburger Pierogi with Special Sauce
Basia folded an American smashburger into a Polish pierogi, serving it over a special sauce she built from a Gordon Ramsay recipe and a Nick DiGiovanni recipe she had followed on social media, topped with caramelised onions, bacon and crushed spicy cheese puffs. Nick and Gordon both enjoyed the concept at her station. The dish was neither in the top four nor the bottom three, but Gordon told her afterwards that she had escaped the bottom rather than earned safety.

Dialogue:
{Basia}: "I'm actually making caramelised onions, and I watched it on your social media platform. I am making a smashburger pierogi style. The burger is going to be inside the pierogi with some special sauce on the bottom."
{Basia}: "I actually got it from you."
{Basia}: "A little bit of Chef Ramsay's and yours."
{Basia}: "I'm gonna add it to the top of my pierogi."
JUDGES IN THE KITCHEN
{Gordon Ramsay}: "Bacon onions. Basia."
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "How are you, Basia?"
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "You're using a combination."
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "Wow. What are you doing with these? Is this for a snack?"
{Gordon Ramsay}: "A spicy cheese puff. It's a cheeseburger."
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "Oh, he doesn't like that at all."
{Gordon Ramsay}: "You don't like it? Then we can scratch it."
{Tiffany Derry}: "Keep it."
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "I like it."
{Nick DiGiovanni}: "So Basia, she's taken a recipe from me and a recipe from you, and she's putting it all into one. She's basically stuffing a smash burger into a pierogi."
{Tiffany Derry}: "Sometimes the crazy foods are exactly what goes viral. And that could be a dish that could go viral."
AFTER THE RESULTS
{Gordon Ramsay}: "Basia, we'll be honest. You dodged the bullet, because I don't think you actually thought that one through. That definitely wasn't a viral sensation."
NOTE: this dish was not called forward as a top four or bottom three dish, so no tasting notes were given.
