Smoked Picanha Sunday Roast

Main: Wood-smoked picanha (top rump of beef) served with vinaigrette salsa, fried rice with broccoli, and roasted cassava flour (farofa) with bacon and egg. A Brazilian Sunday roast.
Jeane: "The Brazilian favourite is picanha."
Jeane: "Trying to smoke it because I couldn't have barbecue. So I get the wooden taste and then I'm going to grill it with rice and broccoli, some vinaigrette and roasted cassava flour."
Jeane: "Yes, Sundays we love the barbecue."
Jeane: "Right now, the outside is the way I want it to be." Jeane: "Nervous."
Jeane (presenting): "Time to get this to the guests."
Jeane (after): "The pressure was on, so, yeah, I'm exhausted."
Anna (during cook): "I actually love the sound of experiencing what is a Brazilian Sunday roast. Taking the time to smoke the beef rump. I want to taste it."
Pookie Treadle: "Medium rare picanha, vinaigrette salsa, broccoli rice, and toasted cassava flour. With a steak, I'm looking for the perfect searing."
Grace (during cook): "They look the part."
Dhruv Baker: "Broccoli rice, and then the toasted cassava flour. That's something I've never had before, so really looking forward to that."
Dhruv Baker (tasting): "For me, the beef is delicious. It's well cooked on the outside. The fact that she's lightly smoked it adds an element of flavour. The vinaigrette salsa, I think, is fantastic. You get that crunch, it's delicious."
Natalie Coleman (tasting): "I'm struggling a little bit with the cassava flour because I find the texture too hard. But the actual flavor is incredible."
Pookie Treadle (tasting): "It tastes a very good dish."
Grace (tasting): "I think it's really rather nice. I think the vinaigrette adds a really welcome amount of acidity to it."
Anna (tasting): "The toasted cassava flour, for me, is too hard. It's not bringing anything to the dish."
Anna (summary): "When it came to her Brazilian Sunday roast, her beef was tender. But the toasted cassava flour for me was inedible."
RESULT: Jeane progressed to the quarterfinal.
