Spitzbuben (Cheeky Boys)
Lizzie creates traditional German Spitzbuben cookies, also known as 'cheeky boys,' designed to resemble mischievous children's faces. She decorates them with piped eyelashes and lips, enhanced with mixed spice flavoring.
Paul: 'I just loved your cheeky girls. I mean, they're little astonished mouths and eyelashes going out the side. It's just beautiful.' Mary: 'I think it needed slightly longer in the oven cuz it looks like raw paste. The favor of that with the cinnamon, with the apple is delicious. The jam is spectacular.' Paul: 'If you'd made them half size, baked them properly, you'd have been for sure getting a handshake.'
