Savannah: "I made for you a squash and maple jelly cake. Next to it is a jelly made from the aronia berries, grapes, and plums."


Gail Simmons: "How did you make the cake?"


Savannah: "I was inspired by the jelly that we had as the dessert, going for as much of a cake as I could get with those components, but it kind of turned into a jelly cake. I was really pleasantly surprised."


Gail Simmons: "You invented a thing."


Savannah, smiling: "Hopefully it's a good thing."
