Which Show?
Who made this dish?
Part of Gary's classic dessert trolley.
Steamed treacle sponge puddings with stem ginger syrup, steamed for 40 to 50 minutes.
Gary: "...and a steamed treacle and ginger pudding."
Gary: "Right, treacle sponges. Now I've got to get these in quick."
Gary: "It's tight, but it is what it is. Bake them in there for about 40 to 50 minutes, as long as possible."
Gary: "I've got treacle sponges in here. I just hope they bake. Time's a bit tight."
Gary: "I'm just using every minute I can."
Gary: "The steamed puddings were over baked. It is what it is."
[Showstopper: a retro dessert trolley of at least three individually portioned desserts, eight of each, with at least one baked element. 4 hours 30 minutes.]
Nigella (at the bench): "I love a steamed syrup sponge. It's one of my absolute favorites."
Nigella: "The ginger comes across a bit too much."
Paul: "It's been over steamed. It's gone dry. Not your best work."
Nigella (judges' review): "Poor Gary has slipped." Paul: "And Gary, I don't think he had a good day."
