Su Borek
Su Borek

Chef Sylwia: "I made su borek. Su means water in the Turkish language, so borek is supposed to be very wet. Inside of that, we've got a mousse of chicken and nduja sausage with pistachio nuts. And then on the top, we've got lemon posset, and then cucumber salsa."

Judging - by Top Chef ™ judge Padma Lakshi and Graham Hornigold. Also Harriet Mansell, head chef Stu Deeley, executive pastry chef Roger Pizey, and author Max Halley.

Padma Lakshi: "Wait. That tastes like lemon curd."

Gail Simmons: "Confounding."

Tom Colicchio: "Sylwia's dish didn't know what  it was - whether it was  a savory dish or a sweet one."

Harriet Mansell: "It was really confusing, the sweet but sharp lemon curd with the spicy sausage."

Padma Lakshi: "Sylvia, I didn't really understand your whole dish. Once I put the lemon sauce on it, I almost thought I was having a dessert. It was so sweet, and it didn't remind me of a borek at all.

Gail Sommons: "It was bland, and it felt spongy."

Tom Colicchio: "It was like sugar sweet lemon over the top of a muffin that was really dry. It was not a good dish, sorry to say."
