Wiley Dufresne (observing): "Lobster steak. Man, she's working." Malyna Si (during cook): "I bit off more than I can chew." / "I still need to finish my salsa verde."
Padma Lakshmi: "I'm worried about Malyna being able to do all the components of her dish." After time: Malyna Si: "I didn't get everything on my plate. I am so disappointed. This is by far not my best dish."
To judges: "I made a little surf and turf. Not everything I prepared made it on the plate, so I'm super disappointed." On missing components: "I did the smoked tomatoes, and I did a salsa verde for the steak as well."
Michael Cimarusti: "The steak has really good flavor and is very tender."
Wiley Dufresne: "I really like the mashed potatoes, but the lobster, unfortunately did not work out."
Padma Lakshmi: "There are parts of it that feel a little gelatinous. Not good."
Result: Score 26. Lost the head-to-head to Diana Dávila (40). Proceeded to elimination round.
