Tasha's Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Pies

Tasha lined her picnic pies with a floor of mustard and then mixed sausage meat with nutmeg and sage, apples and cranberries.

Prue Leith raved about the addition of mustard. There were also complements for the thin, crisp pastry and the fact that sausage, which is notorious for shrinking during cooking, was perfectly packed.

Paul Hollywood: "I do think they look good. You can see the laminations. Beautiful. You obviously made some very good pastry dough, but you just ran out of time somewhere along the line because they needed longer in the oven."

Prue Leith: "Flavour is superb. The apricot works beautifully well with it."

Paul Holloywood: "Lovely. The only issue is the bake. It's too soggy. It needed another ten minutes to make that flaky and beautiful, but your filling is exceptional."
