Za'atar & Olive Soda Bread
Sura's savory soda bread inspired by her father's suggestion to incorporate za'atar (used traditionally in Turkish pide), combined with olives and reflecting her Middle Eastern heritage.
Paul: 'Try the zata one frst... That's why it's as pale as it is. But the blend of the olives with the zata is delicious.' Prue: 'I like the favor too.' The flavor combination was highly praised, though the bread needed higher baking temperature for better color and crust development.
