Tournament of Champions ™
Britt
Britt Rescigno is a South Jersey-born chef, restaurateur, and one of Food Network’s most enduring competition presences. She grew up next door to Allen’s Clam Bar in New Gretna, New Jersey - her grandparents’ seafood restaurant, where her father was the chef - and was on the line by the age of thirteen. That grounding in North Atlantic seafood, fresh garden produce, and the rhythms of a working family kitchen became the bedrock of her cooking style: American classics, executed with Italian warmth and a ‘life’s short, eat sexy food’ philosophy.
She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2009, completed her externship at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club on Cape Cod, and spent years cutting her professional teeth on both coasts: California kitchens (Scratch, Nom Burger, Nox Farm to Table), then back east as Executive Chef at Delaware Avenue Oyster House on Long Beach Island. In 2025, she and her wife, fellow chef Kinsey Leodler-Rescigno, opened Fiamma in Ketchum, Idaho - a live-fire Italian concept channelling her Italian heritage through wood-smoke and seasonal produce.
On television, Britt has become one of Food Network’s most recognisable competitors. She won Chopped in
2019, bested Bobby Flay on Beat Bobby Flay with her grandmother’s chicken and dumplings, and reached
the semifinals of Tournament of Champions in both Seasons 4 and 5 - including a Cinderella run as the first
number-8 seed ever to reach the semis. Season 7 is her fourth full appearance on TOC, and she comes in having defeated Michelin-starred Giuseppe Tentori in Round 1 (scoring a season-high 92 points) before meeting Kevin Lee in the Round of 16.
