"I have always loved creating traditional southern meals for my family and had an interest in learning French culinary techniques. At the age of 40 and pregnant with my sixth child, I decided to pursue a dream and go back to school to get a culinary degree. I recently obtained an Associate Degree in Pastry Arts, and an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. I spent time in France completing advanced certifications at the Le Cordon Bleu Paris. My original goal was to use my degrees to share flavorful, family-friendly recipes on this website, but my dreams have grown. I plan to open a farm-to-table, elevated restaurant and pastry shop in 2024-2025, and provide cooking tutorials and culinary experiences that will bring people together to gather around my table.

In 2023, I was casted on MasterChef, Season 13, with Chef Gordon Ramsay when I was awarded a white apron and chosen to represent the South region. After 8 weeks of filming, and some amazing highs and lows, I made it to the Finale and finished as a MasterChef Finalist. Since the show has aired (on FOX network and Hulu), I have released a seasoning brand, Heritage Seasoning, available to ship in the U.S., and I’m working on a cookbook and working with investors to formulate restaurant plans with locations in Little Rock, Benton, and we have exciting plans to expand."
