Carole's "Oh Christmas Tree" Cake

Carole felt the need to redeem herself by using plums (after a disastrous plum recipe in an earlier series) and also to show her recent skills with macarons.

Carole made a 5 tier plum and ginger cake, layered with plum jam and American buttercream, all decorated to look like a Christmas tree, with piped rosettes, colorful macarons and gingerbread men.
