Glaze Consistency Balance

Achieving perfect glaze requires thin, translucent coating that flows smoothly without being too thick or running off completely. Many bakers struggled with this critical balance. The glaze should coat evenly and set with a glossy finish that enhances rather than masks the donut. Mix gradually, adding liquid slowly until it reaches the consistency of heavy cream. Too thick creates gloopy coverage; too thin disappears completely.
