What is Carrot Halwa?

Carrot Halwa (Gajar ka Halwa) is a very popular dessert in the winters in India and Pakistan. It is traditionally made from red carrots, which are hard (but not impossible) to find in the USA. Carrots are mixed with ghee, milk, sugar, cardamom and often enhanced with nuts, sesame or dried fruit.
